Second The Opinion is a game show style studio production that invites fellows and resident physicians to compete in a fast-paced question and answer competition. Contestants buzz-in and answer questions in an attempt to have their opinion “seconded” by the “expert”.
Roles: Art Director, Motion Designer, Editor.
The in-studio production of Second The Opinion was a proof of concept/pilot with the intention of creating a form of “edutainment” for health care professionals that would be reproducible both in-studio and at in-person events.
In my role as the design lead I was responsible for the development and creation of the visual elements for both in-studio and on screen portions of the show including the animated intro, background graphics, transitions, and lower thirds.
During the studio recording I also filled the role of the graphics operator working closely with the producer and director. This project was conceived as a live-to-tape production with the inclusion of additional graphical elements during post production and editing.
After the completion of recording I edited the footage, added the addition graphical elements, sound effects, and completed the final edit.
